Please join THINK Conservatory, House of Genius, and Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra for a night of Vaudeville to raise funds for Brooklyn Recovery Fund.The Brooklyn Recovery Fund is a joint effort between the Brooklyn Community Foundation, the Office of the Brooklyn Borough President, and the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce to create a pooled fund to provide support to Brooklyn’s nonprofit organizations working with the communities and individuals most affected by Hurricane Sandy. The ticket price includes an OPEN BAR, Hors d'oeuvres and a night of other Vaudeville frivolities. 1920s attire encouraged! 21+ only.
Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra are the world's premier Jazz-Age dance orchestra, steeped in the hot-dance band tradition of the 1920s and early 1930s. Each summer, Michael hosts the annual Jazz Age Lawn Party on Governors Island, which has become a major New York City event (video clip below). For our Vaudeville DUMBO fundraiser, Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra will be entertaining us with a 3 hour set. Housed in a 5000 sq. ft. loft, our space evokes the spirit of a nostalgic era, with an open area for dancing and nooks for lounging.
